स्मृति का झरोखा: जब सिद्धवरकूट में गूंजे थे जयंत मलैया के शब्द— “आचार्य वर्धमान सागरजी वात्सल्य के अथाह सागर, इसलिए हैं ‘वात्सल्य रत्नाकर'”

समय बीत जाता है, लेकिन कुछ क्षण इतिहास बनकर स्मृतियों में हमेशा जीवित रहते हैं। ऐसा ही एक अविस्मरणीय अवसर था 6 जुलाई 2016, जब सिद्ध क्षेत्र सिद्धवरकूट में राष्ट्र गौरव, वात्सल्य वारिधि, पंचम पट्टाधीश आचार्य श्री 108 वर्धमान सागरजी महाराज का मंगल चातुर्मास प्रारंभ हुआ। इसी दिन उनके 27वें आचार्य पदारोहण महोत्सव का शुभारंभ भी अत्यंत श्रद्धा, भक्ति और भव्यता के साथ हुआ। देशभर से पहुंचे हजारों श्रद्धालुओं ने गुरुचरणों में श्रद्धा अर्पित कर इस ऐतिहासिक पल के साक्षी बनने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त किया।
इस ऐतिहासिक आयोजन में उस समय के मध्यप्रदेश के वित्तमंत्री जयंत मलैया भी विशेष रूप से सिद्धवरकूट पहुंचे। आचार्यश्री का आशीर्वाद लेने के बाद उन्होंने कहा कि “सिद्धवरकूट केवल एक तीर्थ नहीं, बल्कि आध्यात्मिक ऊर्जा का दिव्य केंद्र है। आचार्य श्री वर्धमान सागर महाराज जैन जगत के प्रतिष्ठित आचार्य हैं। उनका वात्सल्य अनुपम और अद्वितीय है, इसलिए वे ‘वात्सल्य रत्नाकर’ के नाम से विख्यात हैं।” उनके ये शब्द आज भी श्रद्धालुओं की स्मृतियों में अमिट हैं।
समारोह में भोपाल की पूर्व न्यायाधीश विमला जैन ने आचार्यश्री को जैन समाज का ध्वजवाहक बताते हुए कहा कि उनका वात्सल्यभाव संपूर्ण समाज के लिए प्रेरणा का स्रोत है। वहीं सेवानिवृत्त आईएएस सुरेश जैन ने कहा कि आचार्य वर्धमान सागर महाराज समन्वय, सौहार्द और सर्वमान्यता की परंपरा के श्रेष्ठ आचार्य हैं।
राजस्थान के किशनगढ़ से पधारे संजय पापड़ीवाल ने श्रवणबेलगोला के महामस्तकाभिषेक के उपरांत आचार्यश्री की मुनि दीक्षा के 50 वर्ष पूर्ण होने पर स्वर्णिम दीक्षा जयंती भव्य रूप से मनाने का आग्रह किया।
रत्न, दूध और केसर से हुआ भव्य पाद प्रक्षालन
27वें आचार्य पदारोहण महोत्सव पर देशभर से आए श्रद्धालुओं ने रत्न, दूध, केसर एवं अन्य मंगल द्रव्यों से आचार्यश्री का पाद प्रक्षालन कर स्वयं को धन्य माना। महापूजन में 11 प्रकार के पुष्प, 21 प्रकार के नैवेद्य और 17 प्रकार के फलों का समर्पण किया गया। पूरा सिद्धवरकूट क्षेत्र गुरु भक्ति, श्रद्धा और आध्यात्मिक उल्लास से आलोकित हो उठा था।

Some moments transcend time and become an everlasting part of history. One such memorable occasion was July 6, 2016, when Rashtra Gaurav, Vatsalya Varidhi, Fifth Pattadhish Acharya Shri 108 Vardhman Sagar Ji Maharaj arrived at the sacred Jain pilgrimage site of Siddhavarkoot for His Chaturmas. The day also marked the grand commencement of His 27th Acharya Consecration (Padarohan) Ceremony, celebrated with immense devotion, spiritual fervour, and grandeur. Thousands of devotees from across the country gathered to seek the Acharya’s blessings and become part of this historic event.
Among the distinguished guests was the then Madhya Pradesh Finance Minister, Jayant Malaiya, who visited Siddhavarkoot to receive the blessings of Acharya Shri. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Siddhavarkoot is not merely a pilgrimage site but a divine centre of spiritual consciousness. Acharya Shri Vardhman Sagar Ji Maharaj is one of the most revered Acharyas of the Jain community. His unmatched compassion and boundless affection have earned Him the title ‘Vatsalya Ratnakar’ (Treasure House of Affection).” His heartfelt words continue to be remembered by devotees even today.
Former Judge Vimla Jain of Bhopal described Acharya Shri as the torchbearer of the Jain community, saying that His affectionate nature has been a source of inspiration for countless followers. Retired IAS officer Suresh Jain praised Him as a universally respected Acharya who embodied harmony, unity, and inclusiveness.
Sanjay Papdiwal from Kishangarh, Rajasthan, requested that Acharya Shri’s Golden Jubilee of Monkhood (50 years of Diksha) be celebrated in a grand manner following the Mahamastakabhisheka at Shravanabelagola.
Grand Pada Prakshalan with Gems, Milk and Saffron
On the occasion of the 27th Acharya Consecration Ceremony, devotees from across India performed the sacred Pada Prakshalan (ceremonial washing of the Acharya’s feet) using gems, milk, saffron, and other auspicious substances. During the Maha Pujan, offerings included 11 varieties of flowers, 21 varieties of Naivedya, and 17 varieties of fruits. The entire Siddhavarkoot pilgrimage site resonated with devotion, reverence, and spiritual bliss, making the occasion an unforgettable chapter in Jain history.
