90 वर्ष के डॉ. के. एच. संचेती ने 82 वर्षीय डॉ. कल्याण गंगवाल को अपने हाथों पहनाया पहला ‘मेडी-रत्न’ सम्मान
मेडी-जैन डॉक्टर्स एसोसिएशन की ऐतिहासिक पहल, चिकित्सा सेवा, शिक्षा और सामाजिक योगदान के लिए मिला प्रथम ‘डॉ. के. एच. संचेती मेडी-रत्न पुरस्कार’

चिकित्सा जगत के लिए गौरवपूर्ण क्षण तब बना, जब मेडी-जैन डॉक्टर्स एसोसिएशन द्वारा स्थापित प्रतिष्ठित ‘डॉ. के. एच. संचेती मेडी-रत्न पुरस्कार’ का प्रथम सम्मान वरिष्ठ फिजिशियन डॉ. कल्याण गंगवाल को प्रदान किया गया। इस सम्मान की सबसे भावुक और प्रेरणादायक बात यह रही कि 90 वर्ष की आयु में चिकित्सा जगत के दिग्गज डॉ. के. एच. संचेती ने स्वयं मंच पर उपस्थित होकर 82 वर्षीय डॉ. कल्याण गंगवाल को अपने हाथों से सम्मानित किया। उपस्थित सभी लोगों ने इस ऐतिहासिक पल का तालियों की गड़गड़ाहट से स्वागत किया।
मेडी-जैन डॉक्टर्स एसोसिएशन द्वारा चिकित्सा क्षेत्र में उत्कृष्ट सेवा देने वाले व्यक्तित्वों को सम्मानित करने के उद्देश्य से इस प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार की शुरुआत की गई है। चिकित्सा सेवा, चिकित्सा शिक्षा, सामाजिक दायित्व और स्वास्थ्य व्यवस्था को सशक्त बनाने में उल्लेखनीय योगदान के लिए डॉ. कल्याण गंगवाल को इस पुरस्कार का प्रथम सम्मान प्राप्त हुआ। उन्होंने कई दशकों तक रोगी सेवा, चिकित्सा उत्कृष्टता और समाज के प्रति समर्पण का प्रेरणादायी उदाहरण प्रस्तुत किया है।
पुरस्कार वितरण समारोह का आयोजन 5 जुलाई 2026 को संचेती हॉस्पिटल, छत्रपति शिवाजीनगर, पुणे में शाम 5:30 बजे से रात्रि 9:00 बजे तक किया गया। समारोह में चिकित्सा क्षेत्र के वरिष्ठ विशेषज्ञों, डॉक्टरों, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं तथा विभिन्न क्षेत्रों की अनेक प्रतिष्ठित हस्तियों की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति रही।
आयोजकों ने विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि चिकित्सा क्षेत्र में समर्पण, उत्कृष्टता और मानवीय सेवा को सम्मानित करने की यह पहल आने वाले वर्षों में अनेक चिकित्सकों के लिए प्रेरणा का स्रोत बनेगी और समाज के प्रति सेवा भाव को नई दिशा देगी।

Pune: In a proud and memorable moment for the medical fraternity, the Medi-Jain Doctors Association conferred the inaugural “Dr. K. H. Sancheti Medi-Ratna Award” upon renowned senior physician Dr. Kalyan Gangwal in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the field of medicine.
The most inspiring highlight of the ceremony was that 90-year-old legendary orthopedic surgeon Dr. K. H. Sancheti personally presented the award to 82-year-old Dr. Kalyan Gangwal, making the occasion truly historic and emotionally significant. The audience greeted the moment with a standing ovation and enthusiastic applause.
The prestigious award has been instituted by the Medi-Jain Doctors Association to honour distinguished personalities for their exceptional contributions to healthcare, medical education, social responsibility, and the advancement of the medical profession. Dr. Gangwal was chosen as the first recipient in recognition of his decades-long dedication to patient care, clinical excellence, and the development of healthcare services.
The award ceremony was held on July 5, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Sancheti Hospital, Chhatrapati Shivajinagar, Pune, in the presence of eminent doctors, healthcare professionals, social workers, and distinguished guests from various fields.
